Powhatan language

Greetings Joshua, I just wanted to talk to you, regarding the phonology of the Powhatan language. From the previous edits, it stated that the consonant sounds /t/ and /t͡ʃ/ were separate phonemes. What sources did you use as information of the reconstructed Powhatan phonology? The main linguist who helped reconstruct the language was Frank T. Siebert, who studied the language grammar, based on William Strachey, who documented the language back in about the 17th century. Thanks for the message The /t/ becoming /t͡ʃ/ is actually a feature that dates back to Proto-Algonquian, (Bloomfield 1946, p. 92), and although a number of phonological changes occurred between Proto-Algonquian and Powhatan, this feature still seems to exist in Powhatan. Please stop replacing the exist phonological tables on various pages with different information. This is rather confusing to other folks viewing the page. I just had to redo your edits to Tagalog as well Fdom5997 (talk) 22:07, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
