Reliable sources

[edit]

Hi, i am thankful you are helping me with the draft bu sources such as IMDB, wikis, blogs and private company websites arent reliable sources. This will help you find good reliable sources. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Perennial_sources# Veganpurplefox (talk) 23:51, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You will find good sources from the triangle section : Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · NYT · TWL Veganpurplefox (talk) 23:54, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome! Thank you for the link that's really helpful! Are we allowed to use local press which has interviews - because a lot of her theatre work is covered in these? The Big Issue one I added yesterday was also written by Helen O'Hara, who is the editor of Empire, so that should hopefully be a valid source? Also, when it comes to bigger TV projects - actors are added on IMDb by the production companies so we should be able to leave her latest credit for Grace as that would have been approved by the team. Also, if she is listed on her drama school website - can we use that as valid source? Js2023 (talk) 15:49, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure we can add local press, it depends if they have an editing team that looks up if everything is true that they talked about, I know it's disappointing cause so many informations are true but since Wikipedia has to have reliable sources I believe its to prevent false informations to leak Veganpurplefox (talk) 02:35, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure once she gets more articles from reliable sources we will be able to add more informations! And you're welcome for the link! Veganpurplefox (talk) 02:36, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You can add them maybe ,I'll ask someone if these press articles are reliable, how are they called? Veganpurplefox (talk) 02:37, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Her website is not a reliable source as it is a private company website, sources has to come from a secondary sources ,I believe her website is considered as primary source and secondary sources are more like giving another proof (at least that's what I think from what I have learned being in Wikipedia) I'm still new but learned a lot recently Veganpurplefox (talk) 02:39, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
