Your Username

[edit]

An editor has expressed concern about your username, because of its simliarity to another user's previous name, Just zis Guy, you know? This is currently being discussed at Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/User_names#JustThatGuy2. If you'd like, you can request a rename and get rid of the concern entirely. Otherwise, your comments are welcome at the discussion.

As a sidenote, I notice you haven't been officially welcomed to Wikipedia. So here:

--Thanks for the heads-up. I put in a word in that discussion, saying (a) I certainly wasn't trying to imitate anyone, hadn't known about this person of note, and (b) if it's deemed appropriate, I'll rename.

It looks as if your name will be allowed. You are still free to change it if you wish. Thanks for commenting. i said 19:00, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
