Kerry Shale article
[edit]Hello there! I recently reverted portions of your edit at Kerry Shale, on the basis that it was an unexplained removal of content, particularly content that is verifiable (Manitoba birth? Is this not accurate?) Users are encouraged to use edit summaries to help other editors understand these changes. Based on your user name, I am making the assumption that you are Kerry Shale himself, or someone closely related to him. If that's the case, please understand that you are strongly discouraged from editing the article about you, because you would have a conflict of interest with the article. The typical etiquette is to leave edit requests on the talk page, so that other editors can incorporate the changes. While I don't see anything glaringly un-objective about the work you've done so far, sometimes editors develop a sense of ownership if their companies or they themselves have articles up at Wikipedia. We're all here to contribute. Anyhow, this isn't meant to be a lecture, only a quick note. Take care! Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:39, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Kerry Shale does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:02, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
Hi there, let's please keep something in mind while editing at Kerry Shale: the article does not belong to you, it belongs to the Wikipedia community. It also should not be used as a vehicle for promotion or as an the subject's personal website. Here you remove content with no explanation, and reinstate unnecessary wikilinks which add clutter to already overly-linked paragraph. And, since Wikipedia is a community project, when your content gets reverted, per WP:BRD it is up to you to open a discussion on the article's talk page to achieve consensus. If you're not willing to explain your edits or participate in discussion, your account does run the risk of being blocked. Lastly, you have an obvious conflict of interest. You are strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, and you should probably declare your conflict, and post edit requests on the talk page instead.
