Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, KDDory! Thank you for your contributions. I am MartinPoulter and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{helpme}}
at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! MartinPoulter (talk) 23:23, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your improvements to social influence. I hope you will stick around and improve the article further. Remember that, to protect your contributions for the long term, you should cite sources for all the statements you add. Click the "Cite" button on the top toolbar when editing. - Glad the tip was useful. Wikipedia is all about verifiability: it's important that other people can check what you write by following it back to sources. Wikipedia is tertiary literature, meaning it summarises the reviews and textbooks which themselves summarise or evaluate primary research (although some primary sources are acceptable). So the way to make edits that stick is to always put a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia:WikiProject Psychology/How to write a psychology article might be helpful, and consider joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Psychology to stay in touch with others who are interested in improving psych articles.
