[edit]Hello Kaitoukid45. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Kaitoukid45. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Kaitoukid45|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Usedtobecool ☎️ 16:46, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi , I would like to make it clear that I am not getting any compensation for this article. I chose to write this article as I have been a customer of this ISP for many years and I thought about documenting it's technological advancements and progress in it's official wikiepdia article.
- I hope you let me edit more , as I want to add more cool information about it. I don't think any ISP's here in Nepal has dare to go such extend to launch new products , try out new technologies and so on.
- So, I guess this is a false detection. How do I prove myself? I have already written tons on this particular article and I am not able to publish it because of this restriction. Please do help. Kaitoukid45 (talk) 17:30, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
- Nepalese internet users ask "Does your ISP suck as much as mine?" They don't go, "I have been a customer of this ISP for many years and I thought about documenting it's technological advancements and progress... I want to add more cool information about it. I don't think any ISP's here in Nepal has dare to go such extend to launch new products , try out new technologies and so on." So, no, I don't believe you one bit. I suggest you edit other articles for a few months, if you don't have any financial reason to prefer one article over another. That said, I can't force you. I suggest you familiarise yourself with WP:V, WP:RS and WP:NPOV before you try to edit that article further, if you must. If you choose to edit something else, and need help familiarising yourself with wikipedia policies and guidelines, I will be happy to help. Usedtobecool ☎️ 03:33, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- I have reverted your additions again, as they do not comply with Wikipedia's content policies. Please familiarise yourself with WP:V, WP:RS, WP:NOR and WP:NPOV. Usedtobecool ☎️ 03:41, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- I admit that few of the sentences were in need of citation which I couldn't bring because no one has done brief study on that particular subject. For example, the mention of TR-069 a CPE management system has not been mentioned or talked about on any news articles in Nepal. But if you ask any of the network engineers about the TR-069 and the method ISPs uses to pull the metadata off the user's CPE, then they will tell you about it.
- You are removing the whole article just because you think that it's paid. I can see why Nepal still lags behind wiki article pages, is because of people like you. Always trying to pull leg and trying to get into things that is not even your field of work. I am sure you have zero knowledge about all of the content I wrote in that article and I bet you didn't even check out the citations and sources I put there.
- Thanks for demotivating me. I will not edit any article. Kaitoukid45 (talk) 04:15, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- Subject matter experts often get "demotivated" because they think they deserve special consideration simply because they "know" stuff. But what you know is relevant only insofar as it helps you bring in reliable sources, analyse and summarise them. Otherwise, what you know does not matter. Wikipedia does not want you to add stuff that you know, only stuff that you can support with reliable sources. Unless you are interested in bringing your sources to the article talk page and discussing how to improve content that you would like to add, I can not help. If you don't have the patience to work within the rules, your threats to leave mean little. Best, Usedtobecool ☎️ 04:42, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
