Awards

[edit]

Hi KarissaJones16. The article looks good! I've removed some of the header formatting issues and edited a few things.

I'd recommend taking a look at the Awards section. As you have it now, you're halfway between the two methods we normally use to show awards in biographical articles. Editors either use a brief, cited bulleted list of the awards at the end or they integrate them into the prose itself. Here you've got markers in time for the reader for each award, which is great. What I'd love to see is those sentences edited into her biography where appropriate. One phenomenal advantage of the latter approach it is allows you to see pretty clearly which awards are important to her biography and which could be remanded to a source or an external link. For instance, becoming a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences is a pretty big deal, so it should be easy to add that in when we're talking about her work in the late 90s. The nomination for a teaching award at Western Michigan may be harder to work in and might therefore present itself as somewhat less central. You don't have to do this, but I think you'll find it will help you improve the prose in the article.
