I have uploaded it on Commons, the repository of Free images which is accessible from all wikipedia; you can see the "katana" category here. It is advisable (thougt my no means mandatory) to upload Free images on Commons rather than on an individual Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you whether you would consider licencing your image also under the CC-by-sa licence; it is almost identical to the GFDL, but it is easier to use with images because it does not require the whole licence to be printed (a mention of the author and reference to the licence is sufficient and necessary).
