It's really coming together now. So here are some more editing thoughts and comments.

1) Take the last paragraph of the introduction, and instead put it into section 1 (practice of)... as it'll work better there.

2) change the title of section 2 to 'Conservation science' (we already know its about historic houses)

3) delete the whole first paragraph of section 2, as you can simply link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation_science_%28cultural_heritage%29 using the method of internally linking.

4) In the AoD section you don't need to list all the agents in that first bit, you could instead reference the CCI website and thus add a reference to your page.

5) You don't need to "conclude" sections, so you could take that final line of that section and instead use it as an introduction slightly reworded.

6) Take the secretary of state section and put it after the practice section.

Good work, you're nearly there! --Daniel Cull (talk) 20:35, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Some comments:

1) Remember that this needs to be about the Conservation-Restoration of Historic Houses, so you need to focus first on introducing the specific topic. You don't really need to define conservation-restoration itself (you can do that with an appropriate internal wikipedia link) e.g. to here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation_and_restoration_of_cultural_heritage if you're unclear what I mean look at this as an example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation_and_restoration_of_photographic_plates and replace 'photo plates' with historic houses and then tidy it up a bit and you'll be there.

2) Once you have your intro sorted out then you can re-consider your structure making sure you have a little info in each bit, and that it flows and makes sense. Then from there build up the content, get some images, etc.

3) You should then have as paragraph 1, what a historic house is... much of which you can take from here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historic_house and your own readings

4) Look for some structural similarities and images in other articles: eg This isn't great https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation_and_restoration_of_historic_gardens but it might have some useful overview ideas and points of comparison Here is a useful image https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:House_restoration,_Baldwins_Hill_-_geograph.org.uk_-_96122.jpg This is a useful article and images of use https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reconstruction_%28architecture%29 This is v useful https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Architectural_conservation and also has some useful images

5) Language/NPOV. You are not writing a "how-to". So you need to tidy up your language, as you say things such as "is important to keep an eye on". e.g., you need to say conservators monitor.

6) That standards and guidelines "external links" has some pretty useful laws/taxes information, you should incorporate that. If there are standards these are definitely the sort of thing that should be in wikipedia articles.

Here are some links to images you could put in your article.

Historic Marker

Maybe of interest as well, is the English Blue Plaque - designating a historic event that occured in the house or structure
