How you can help

Hi Kent, I see that you have made a variety of good-faith additions to the Permafrost article. Unfortunately, your "Fast facts about permafrost" don't really fit into the encyclopedic style and structure of Wikipedia's Manual of Style. I could suggest that you first study how to do references correctly at Wikipedia:Citation templates and provide in-line citations at their proper places, such that they show up as a superscript in the text and as references under the main reference section. Secondly, I suggest that you move your "Fast facts" lower in the page, since they aren't organized in a manner that helps introduce the topic. It's good to have the structure of the lead (first paragraph) reflect the order of the major sections. Also, before implementing a major change in an article, such as you have done, it's often helpful to announce your intention in the Talk page--sometimes with a mock-up of the final text. Have fun, helping with this article! I'll check in after a few weeks. You can leave any replies or questions here--I'll watch this page. Sincerely, User:HopsonRoad 02:55, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Vsmith. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Water resources, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you.
