Image copyright problem with Image:Purple States logo.png
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Purple States logo.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. (ESkog)(Talk) 19:18, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for File:Purple States logo.jpg}
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Purple States logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Your userpage
[edit]Hello. I see you have been working on your userpage, intending to eventually create an article on Purplestate for Wikipedia. I applaud your effort, and appreciate that you are working to create a suitable article in your userspace, instead of in the mainspace.
However, using your user page as a working space for articles is not encouraged, especially when the material could be seen as advertising for a product, service, or individual (as per Wikipedia's userpage content guidelines). I would ask that you move your work to a subpage (such as User:Bcs2011/sandbox), where you can work on it until it is ready to be moved to the mainspace. If you need help doing that, leave a reply for me here, and I will do it for you. If you have any other questions, drop a note here (or on my talk page) and I will get back to you. Hi Horologium, thank you for notifying me that the article I am working on is on my profile and not on a subpage. I recently changed my account name- could the subpage have been removed in the process? I will move/publish my article shortly. Bcs2011 (talk) 23:09, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Purple States
[edit]A tag has been placed on Purple States, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. §FreeRangeFrog 01:03, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit]You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Spam in User:Bcs2011/Purple States LLC
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on User:Bcs2011/Purple States LLC, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because User:Bcs2011/Purple States LLC is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting User:Bcs2011/Purple States LLC, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. - I'm sorry about all the talk page warnings ... no need to get alarmed. There's an ongoing discussion in Wikipedia about the proper use of userspace, and one of your articles, User:Bcs2011/Purple States, LLC is currently caught in the crossfire :) It would be helpful if you avoid editing that particular page in your userspace for 5 days, so that people discussing the deletion can all see the same version of the same page. I'm not sure how the discussion will unfold, but please don't take any of the "This is spam!" "No it's not!" personally; it's really a much broader issue. You're welcome to join the discussion if you like at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Bcs2011/Purple States, LLC. - Dan Dank55 (push to talk) 18:18, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
