Hello, Kitch-noaa. Welcome to Wikipedia!

I'm S0091, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

To help get you started, you may find these useful:

When editing, follow the 3 Core Content Policies:
1. Neutral point of view: represent significant views fairly
2. Verifiability: claims should cite reliable, published sources
3. No original research: no originality; reference published sources

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

National Ocean Service edit requests

[edit]

Hi Kitch, I declined your requests which I am sure took some time for you to submit so do not want you to be discouraged. In a nutshell, Wikipedia not does care what an organization says about itself so their website is not a sufficient source. What is needed are secondary independent reliable sources. Please read the information provided above thoroughly. Also, requests not only need to be in their own section (which you did) but also each section is its own edit request so the edit request template should be applied to each section. You applied you request to the entire talk page so I moved it to a single section, then declined. In addition, please be mindful we are volunteers so requests need to be succinct (you are getting paid for this, we are not). If you have questions or need help, you ask at the Teahouse.
