December 2023[edit]

Information icon Hi Korcals! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Hi Alexeyevitch,
I apologize for mismarking something as a minor edit when it should not have been, any confusion was unintentional. I'll be sure to put more thought into evaluating whether an edit is minor or not in the future. Thanks for the heads up, and again I'm sorry for the mistake. I hope to be a help to this site. Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting[edit]

Per WP:BRD, you should make a case for this on the talk page rather than simply reverting. ♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 09:22, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize. I did provide reasoning for reverting the edit, although it might not have gone through. I'm not sure. Anyways, I reverted because the edits surrounding the vehicle used (Honda Civic) and the year model (2010) are, the way I see it, relevant. There are pages discussing similar events where vehicles are mentioned, and the year model is no exception. Again, it might not have gone through, but I did mention this. Additionally, the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission final report makes note of the year model. Sorry for any confusion, I hope this clears it up. Korcals (talk) 09:34, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The question is whether it would have made any difference to the shooting when the car was manufactured, almost certainly not. It is similar to adding the license plate of the car - 872-YEO - which isn't hugely relevant either.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 10:37, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
