The article OPUS (research project) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

It is unclear how this subject meets Wikipedia's notability criteria

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi there

I would like help to delete the other OPUS-page I have made. Eventually you can see under "Contributions"

I don't really know what the concerns could be about the OPUS (research project). The project is a University project - without any commercial interests.

Could you be more specific?

Best

Have you reviewed the notability criteria yet? What reliable sources have written about this project, that we could use as sources of information for an article on the subject? Has its work been published in significant academic journals, or has its work been discussed significantly in newspapers and magazines? Most university projects wouldn't be subjects that an international encyclopedia would need articles about, but if this is an unusually significant project, we'll need to show its notability by adding the necessary independent sources. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 14:16, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just checking

[edit]

By removing the proposed deletion tag, you're saying that you think the article now demonstrates fully that the subject meets the notability criteria. Is that what you meant to do? The tag gives you up to five days to work on the article, but if you're finished, I'd be happy to go ahead and review the article to see if it clearly shows that it meets the criteria, or if it should be sent on for a community discussion of whether it should be deleted. I'll give you a few minutes to put the tag back on, if you removed it accidentally, because I wouldn't want you to be rushed, or to be embarrassed by a discussion you hadn't intended. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 14:22, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated OPUS (research project), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/OPUS (research project). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 14:31, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
