"Grown up quotes"

[edit]

Don't belittle how another country does quotation marks. English contributors are going to edit Dr. Who articles. They do single quotation marks (' ') where Americans use double (" ") and vice-versa. Wikipedia style goes with the American version. Just please be considerate and don't talk down how the Brits do it. Wryspy 15:12, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Um, you're the one showing bias by calling one style "grown up quotes" -- regardless of which, Wikipedia does prefer one style over the other. See WP:MOS#Quotation_marks. Wryspy 18:58, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
