User talk:Leibov
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is 6rounds. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/6rounds. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

I have to say you have done a good job on the 6rounds article. It certainly was good enough to move in the namespace. I can never guarantee it won't be deleted, though that will now only happen after discussion; it certainly won't be speedy deleted. I notice you uploaded File:6rounds2010Logo.jpg on to Wikimedia Commons. You claim this logo is your own work. Are you sure this is correct? If you took it from the company's website, even if you modified it for uploaded, it is still not your work, and is hence copyrighted. We can keep the logo under fair use even if it is copyrighted, however it will need to be re-uploaded here (Wikipedia) as Wikimedia Commons does not accept copyrighted images. Could you clarify this for so I can take appropriate action? Camaron · Christopher · talk 19:24, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Leibov (talk) 08:34, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Cameron, thanks for your remarks. I have permission from the company to use the logo and did not take it from their website. It is an official company logo that has not been edited. Please let me know if this is satisfactoryLeibov (talk) 08:34, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- If the image is going to stay on Wikimedia Commons the logo must be released on a free licence by the copyright holders and have permission sent to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Please see WP:PERMIT for more. There are many free licences but Creative Commons is recommended. Note that only Attribution alone (by) and Attribution + ShareAlike (by-sa) licences are considered free licences and are hence usable on Commons. Leibov (talk) 11:04, 14 February 2010 (UTC) This problem was discussed between Ilan Leibovich, COO and co-founder of 6rounds and Maggie Dennis on 2/7/2010. Please refer to Wikipedia Commons Ticket#2010020110018421. If there are any other issues, please let me know. Thanks. Leibov (talk) 11:04, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
I saw your request on CT Cooper's talk page for feedback on you article, it looks ok, but I have a few points and I'm sure Chris will have some more as-well.
First, you need to remove all the wikilinks, and references within headings, specifically in this case the Level 4 Headings in Section 1, references should not appear in the TOC, and titles should not normally be linked, instead link the first occurrence of the word within the following prose. See WP:HEADINGS for more details.
Second, You need to avoid sounding promotional, and also copyvio, with phrases such as this 6rounds beta site is launched. A rich, interactive and personalized video chat platform that combines webcams, social activities, and interactive zones and offers a variety of experiences that users enjoy and share together in real-time. Which is stripped straight from their blog. WP:W2W should give you an idea of what to avoid. There are a few sections in this article which sound slightly biased towards the company and a bit promotional, so I expect are also falling foul of WP:NPOV.
Finally, for now, you need to change the criticisms section, as it stands it would not be allowed in the main namespace, as comments such as those to do with reliability, are not appropriate unless sourced, as it fall foul of WP:OR and WP:NPOV.
That should be enough to be getting on with. Thanks GlanisTalk 14:46, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hi GlanisTalk, Thanks so much for your input. I've changed the points you have mentioned above. I would really appreciate if you could point out any other things that still need to be corrected. Many Thanks!
Speedy deletion nomination of User:Leibov/Rounds
[edit]A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Leibov/Rounds, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
