Little Hawk
[edit]I took your suggestion and looked at the article. Unfortunately I fear it may be a copyright violation--it's definitely not an oral history but scattered near-verbatim liftings from a very long article cited in the reference. I have quite a number of sources (including some transcriptions of oral histories to cross-check the "facts" to see if they're about Little Hawk or his illustrious nephew (and my distant relative) Crazy horse.--Buckboard 10:00, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
Feel free to use...
[edit]I'd like your opinion on using photos from this site on Wikipedia. The author says OK for educational purposes and his pictures only. If you think they can be, what would you use as a correct copyright tag? Thanks. LookNorth 07:58, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- "Educational use only" isn't a copyright condition that Wikipedia accepts. One of Wikipedia's goals is to make its material freely re-usable by anyone, and allowing restrictions such as "no commercial use" or "educational use only" interferes with this goal. --Carnildo 06:52, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your note. I'd like to think that, given that the magnitude of the incident was so enormous and what happened to those poor children so awful, this story would not remain local for long. Thanks again. Jtmichcock 11:39, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
