Thanks for your comments regarding the article Sunil Abeyesundere. You state "Strange that not a single search of Torrance court records or LA County records in California shows anyone by this name with either a civil or criminal conviction for the past 10 years". How did you do this search? A proper search using the Los Angeles Superior Court search page confirms that Sunil Abeyesundere was convicted of grand theft on July 25, 2001, at the Torrance courthouse. The case number is XSWYA025033-01. He was charged with four counts. Three counts were dismissed or not prosecuted, and he was convicted on one. This court record confirms that the newspaper article from the South Bay Daily Breeze, July 27, 2001, page A3 is accurate. Respectfully, Spottykitty (talk) 12:50, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
I appreciate your comments on my talk page dated 8 February. Regarding my use of the Los Angeles Superior Court search: I did this to counter the objection of TruthInNews and yourself to the use of the Daily Breeze article as a source. I do not intend to use the Court database as a source, since it is a primary source. I only did the search to verify the accuracy of the newspaper article, which is a secondary source, and will be used as the reference in my edit. Regarding the Wikipedia policy on biography of living persons: I appreciate that the edit is negative, and may cause distress to the subject of the article. However, it is in no way libelous, since it is a fact documented by a reliable secondary source. My intent is to balance the positive point of view expressed in the article with a negative one, in an effort to gain neutrality. Regarding the Zoominfo page, I was quite surprised to find that it had been changed on Feb 7. It was changed in several steps. First, the picture of Sunil was replaced with a picture of another man. The biography link to the Wikipedia article was removed. Some biographical details were removed as well. The heading on the Zoominfo page still read "Sunil Abeyesundere". Later, this heading was changed to "Dr. Shanthi Abeyesundere", and finally to "Mr. Shanthi Abeyesundere Snr." Also, the Amni International liason office was changed to from Florida to Caracas, Venezuela. Apparently the former CEO, Sunil Abeyesundere, was replaced on 7-8 February with another man, Shanthi Abeyesundere. However, the ZoomInfo people directory still lists Sunil Abeyesundere, and the liason office is listed as in Florida. Shanthi Abeyesundere is not listed there. I looked at the Google cache and made a screen shot of the half-changed page. I can upload the image if you want to see it. Unfortunately, I do not have a sceenshot of the original Zoominfo page with Sunil's picture on it. Nevertheless, it is clear that the page has been changed since I first referenced it in my comment on TruthInNews' talk page. I was not mistaken. Spottykitty (talk) 01:12, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
