DANAS, Volume 2: The History of VP, VPB, VP(H) and VP(AM) Squadrons

These 74 VP squadrons are listed in the specified sections of Volume 2 of the Dictionary of American Naval Aviation Squadrons. Links next to the entries lead to that squadron's article in Wikipedia. Squadrons without links seem not to have articles.

Volume 2's Appendix 7 shows the lineages for these and all other patrol squadrons in existence prior to the late 1990s.
