The above was a standard welcoming template, now for a more personal note. I have no reason to doubt your claim of being Elizabeth Olten's family, and I can only offer my deepest condolences. Unfortunately, the event has received significant coverage by news media, and so it is a subject significant enough for a Wikipedia article. Deleting the article's references as you did is considered disruptive and may lead to you being blocked by an administrator. To piggyback off of this, the best way to deal with this, if you have good standing to do so, is to submit a request for oversight at WP:RFO. Removing content from the wiki directly will only be reverted due to the media coverage of the event. The wikimedia foundation has discretion and may consider a request to redact or retract some or all information -- but it's not something that can be undertaken by one editor directly.
