Deletion of Michael L. Radelet

Hi, I noticed your request for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael L. Radelet. Please note that an article will generally not be deleted solely because of the article subject's wishes. Deletion of any article is done in accordance with the deletion policy. However, a number of editors are inclined to favor deletion of an article on a person of borderline notability where the subject requests deletion, and I believe Dr. Radelet falls into that category.

That being said, with this being the Internet it's easy for people to conceal their true identities or motives, and indeed people have in the past come here falsely claiming to be article subjects and requesting articles to be deleted. If you know Dr. Radelet, I suggest that he send an email from a verifiable email address (e.g., an official university email address) to info-en-q@wikimedia.org, indicating his wish for the article on him to be deleted. The volunteers who monitor that email address will log it and will most likely post a comment on the deletion discussion stating that Dr. Radelet emailed them with a request to delete the article.
