Your edit to Universidad Francisco Marroquín

[edit]

Hello, I see you are adding quite a number of links to a site to external links sections. May I ask you to read WP:SPAM and WP:EL (and just to be sure, WP:COI) before you proceed adding more links. I suggest you discuss the linkadditions on the talkpages.

To be complete, I would like to point you to WP:ANI#Possible_spam, where these linkadditions have been discussed. Thanks. --Dirk Beetstra T C 18:10, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On closer examination, I have started a thread in our spam wikiproject: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Spam#University_spammer_-_newmedia.ufm.edu. --Dirk Beetstra T C 18:20, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page Universidad Francisco Marroquín do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.--Dirk Beetstra T C 18:39, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Ruth Richardson, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from any site that uses the MediaWiki spam blacklist, which includes all of Wikimedia and Wikipedia.

I am jumping to spam4, please discuss your position on the links on WikiProject Spam first. Thanks. --Dirk Beetstra T C 19:27, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
