It is offensive that you would mischaracterize the cause of the Civil War as being only about slavery. Slavery did not enter the war until much later. The single cause for the war was oppressive taxation of southern states by the Union which also passed laws to prevent the export of goods abroad when the southern states began to trade abroad to avoid the excessive taxation. You may want to read something other than a history book with a skewed version of history and rather, read some newspapers of the time including interviews with Lincoln himself (who had no interest in freeing slaves other than to create a cause the Union would unite around). Feel free to check ACTUAL HISTORICAL DATA from the media of the time by reading the source citations from G. Edward Griffin's "The Creature From Jekyll Island". I hope that you, as a person who should prefer true history over revisionist history, will follow up on the sources I provided and amend your "Civil War Origin" to reflect the actual state of affairs and true CAUSES rather than reporting incidentals as THE cause.
