In one of the longest-running research programs on global cities – the Globalization and World Cities Research Network – Philly lands on the bottom rung of the top tier of world cities. Along with Atlanta, Boston, Dallas and Miami in the US, the city placed in the “Alpha-” category in the most recent (2010) rankings. According to GaWC, cities in this category are “very important world cities that link major economic regions and states with the world economy.” http://blog.philadelphiarealestate.com/and-how-world-class-is-philly-now/ I would want this added in the article after this sentence:The city is the center of economic activity in Pennsylvania, and is home to the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and several Fortune 500 companies. Philadelphia is a global city and now I have the reliable source to prove it.
If you did follow the link above: do you think GaWC is a reliable source the way Wikipedia sees it? Anyway, why don't you make another edit request on the pertaining talk page, and link to the source you mentioned above. Also please be specific about what you want changed. Cheers.

How come on wikipedia I see other cities like Atlanta, Boston and Miami with the alpha- world city rating? In 2010, Miami was classified as an Alpha- World City in the World Cities Study Group’s inventory Atlanta is considered an "alpha(-) world city,"[16] http://www.lboro.ac.uk/gawc/world2010t.html
The World According to GaWC 2010 On this list you will see Philadelphia is listed as an alpha- global city and its not on here in wikipedia. Atlanta and Miami has it on here but not Philadelphia and I would want it included after it says,The city is the center of economic activity in Pennsylvania, and is home to the Philadelphia Stock Exchange and several Fortune 500 companies just so you know the city is also globally known. There are just some things missing in the article of Philadelphia. Thats why I wanted to change.
Innovation
[edit]http://www.innovation-cities.com/top-100-city-rankings-for-the-innovation-economy/1130 As you can see on this list you can see that Philadelphia is ranked 30th out of the top 100 global cities in innovation. I do not see anything about innovation on the Philadelphia wikipedia article.
