A tag has been placed on Alec Hardison requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Tommy! I removed the speedy template. However, you should use the WP:Article Wizard for new articles for properly formatting it, and providing references. Thank you Tommy! [message] 19:02, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! The main article, not lots of separate individual articles, is the correct place for character overviews. Because the articles you're creating don't make it clear that these are fictional characters, others are going to be confused by the short, contextless articles. I'll try to help you fix this. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 19:02, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, I told you the truth- character overviews are best located in the series article, not in their own separate articles, unless a character has become so significant that he or she has cultural notability separate from the source material, like Dorothy Gale. You can read more about this at WP:FICTION. I'll fix this article for you, but it would help if you didn't create any more articles for me to fix. Thanks! -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 20:54, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Character summaries from Leverage (TV series)

[edit]

Please stop removing the character summaries from the Leverage article. Even if you are able to establish notability and create individual character articles, those summaries should remain in the main article. The cast is small, and it's useful to have an overview of each character without expecting the reader to jump from article-to-article to do so. Drmargi (talk) 20:59, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We do appreciate that you want to help! I hope it isn't too alarming, having made some errors at the beginning- we all do. It's better to improve the existing articles than to try to make new ones, and we're pretty nice people who are happy to help. It's okay to talk to us. We don't bite. Well, only in the good way. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:04, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Nathan "Nate" Ford has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable character. No refs. All Plot.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
