Speedy deletion of GameTechWorld.com

[edit]

A tag has been placed on GameTechWorld.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. I've re-added the {{db-web}} tag back to the GameTechWorld.com page. Please re-read the notice, as it states: do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself. I see you've already added a {{hangon}} tag but the other tag needs to remain until removed by another editor. Thanks! -Kgasso (talk) 04:34, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Kgasso, yeah, sorry about that. I highlighted the wrong area and deleted the db-web tag and I couldn't remember the precise format when I went to put it back. Sorry for all the headaches, I am just crap when it comes to some of the coding. I am just trying to get a legitmate listing up for GameTechWorld, but I suck obviously.
No prob, just wanted to point out how it's done. :) -Kgasso (talk) 04:51, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for trying to help, but the entry was deleted before I could make any changes and no copy of it was sent to me. Seems like a lot of hassle for a legitmate entry. I will try again some other day perhaps.

Don't use Wikipedia

[edit]

Hi, I have seen you have been a victim of deletionist vandals on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a reliable source, please use inclusionist sources like Google Knol. They don't censor articles like Wikipedia does. Tell all your friends not to use Wikipedia and not donate to it. 86.146.38.170 (talk) 04:36, 11 November 2008 (UTC) (a Former Wikipedian)[reply]

Thanks, I think I am going to do just that as I wasn't even given a chance to talk to anyone or get an answer (nor have I received the deleted content to my email as was said I would recieve). What a headache... so much for my donations.
