Policy unhappy over salaries

The rash of strike in the country has now spread to the police, with some members of the force organising a strike. The Namibian has seen sms messages circulated among police officer, calling for a strike if their salaries are adjusted this month.[1]

Police inspector General Sebastian Ndeitunga yesterday confirmed the existence of a lobbying group calling for a strike ,saying I am aware of an sms being circulated by an unscrupulous officer.

Investigation

    • Ndeitunga said an investigation was underway to establish the orign of the smses
    • He said the message are aimed at destablishing the force and promoting division
    • The person or persons found quilty of circulating the messages will be charged with misconduct, Ndeitunga said

    • 'If there is no increment from October this year, no work from October 2012. Injury to one is unjury is injury to all.
    • 'Let's stand together and show the government enough is enough.
