Notice for Ami Daniel

[edit]

When you get a free moment, I would like to talk to you about the "village pump page"

Thanks,

I'd recommend taking a look at: Wikipedia:Vanity guidelines, Wikipedia:Spam, and Wikipedia:Vandalism. Nationalparks 17:12, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, good point, but what about the other comments in the village pump? The private email letter which is now posted online?

There was never any need for a private email in the first place. (In fact, it would take a bit of effort to even find my address -- going to my user page, then to my website, and then finding contact info.) The entire premise of the first email appeared to be that Elizabeth considered the info she found through Google to be on "my site" (which we have now cleared up). Wikipedia is not my site, and the comments should have been directed at all the editors involved on an appropriate talk page. But if this issue has been resolved to your liking (as I believe it has), and to the liking of the Wikipedia community, let's leave this whole thing behind. Oh, and yes, I agree that the heyoka article is much better than it was before you came. Nationalparks 18:24, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I appreciate your comments.

Yes Ami was extremely understanding and deleted the names and information on her talk page.

However there is one problem big remaining. The village pump page which shows on many other search engines. This is my objection. If this is removed the problem is resolved.

The Village Pump pages are periodically archived by User:Crypticbot. Once the comments are archived, they will no longer show up in searches, or at least not very high up the search. We cannot, however, remove comments and remarks from the Village Pump, especially not discussions that involve decisions such as this one--again, these comments will need to be properly archived in case any of this ever comes into question. Please, be patient. Crypticbot will archive the section once it is older than 7 seven days, at which point it will no longer appear when you search for your name. Ami, Thank you .

==Notice==Titles have been removed from some of the below messages. Please contact AmiDaniel (talk · contribs) or browse the user's contributions if you would like to know what titles have been removed. Thanks. AmiDaniel (talk) 06:19, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ami, Thankyou for your cooperation and help.

The comments posted on the village pump will not be removed. As I said before, that page is periodically archived, but no remarks should be removed from it withough a very valid reason. I have removed the text from this section as it was extremely long and a redundant copy of the comments already posted on the Village Pump. Feel free to restore it.
