A tag has been placed on Festival of Trees at the Harris Arts Center, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. September 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Festival of Trees at the Harris Arts Center, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. WuhWuzDat 22:15, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Festival of Trees at the Harris Arts Center. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. WuhWuzDat 01:02, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The speedy delete tag stays with the hangon. --Abc518 (talk) 01:13, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an article that I am doing for my English 1101 class in college The Festival of Trees is an annual celebration of diffferent types of trees that are desinged with art. I don't believe that you should delete this because it is an art festival and not business related.

Request reason:

I corrected my article and understand the advertisement issue and it will not occur again. This article is for an Engilsh 1101 class that I am taking in college, so please don't delete it

Decline reason:

Your article has already been deleted, and appropriately so. Please do not use Wikipedia as a free web host, and if your teacher wants to find an appropriate assignment for you to do on Wikipedia, he/she can email me: Special:Emailuser/Mangojuice. I highly doubt that this local small-time festival is appropriate for a Wikipedia article, and since you've repeatedly recreated it and haven't expressed any interest in other editing, I'm declining this request. Feel free to place a new request if you are willing to promise to avoid this topic. Mangojuicetalk 15:50, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
