Hmm - simply because the statement that vim is the standard version of vi on most Unix "distros" is untrue. We could go on at length in that vein.

I've noticed that in the past you've commented that you had issue with the way the pronunciation of Mac OS X was handled in its article.
I am writing to alert you of a proposal which is currently seeking comments on a change to the introduction of the article from:

Mac OS X (/mæk ɛs tɛn/) is a line of computer...
to:
Mac OS X (pronounced /mæk oʊ ɛs tɛn/; incorrectly as /mæk oʊ ɛs ɛks/) is a line of computer...

Note: There are alternatives wordings up for consideration.
