Somalists

I see you created Category: Somalists. Do you think there is enough information available to create an article on I.M. Lewis? -- llywrch (talk) 21:31, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Yes I do; on the back pages of several of his books, mini-bios are included that can be of use. Other notable Somalists and/or Ethiopianists that probably also ought to have bios include Bogumil Witalis Andrzejewski (for his contributions to the Somali national script and poetry canon), Muusa H. I. Galaal (for his documenting obscure aspects of Somali culture, such as the Somalis' indigenous calendar system and weather lore), Charles Geshekter (both for his contributions to Somali studies and outspoken HIV/AIDS skepticism) and Donald Levine of Greater Ethiopia fame.
