Hi MilaJECD, welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your addition to the Earth Charter article. Unfortunately another editor reversed it as he disagreed with its content. Lead paragraph content in an article is often a collaborative effort, and more than one editor has helped put it together, so it's best to seek consensus by exchanging comments and ideas on the article's talk page before making large changes to it.

I hope you will make more edits to the article, and if I can help you with any aspect of editing the encyclopedia, just ask. You can click on the talk link next to my username to leave me a message. Diderot's dreams (talk) 00:03, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. Cybercobra undid your work because he disagreed it. Remember, when you change what is said in an article, you may be undoing someone else's work. So we need to resolve this. The way this is resolved is by talking to the people involved to find consensus. And everyone must follow the rules about what goes in an article. The three big content rules you need to know: verifiability, neutral point of view, and no orginal research. Also a conduct rule, the three revert rule is important for starters. Just read the 'this page in a nutshell' at the top of the page for now, if you want.
So with this edit, you should talk to him about the edit on the article's talk page, or his talk page, and he and anyone else who wants will reply (like me). I'm not saying I agree with him or you, but let's start a discussion.
When you leave a message, it's important to add your signature at the end. You can sign your posts on talk pages by adding ~~~~ at the end of them. I'm sure you see that replies on the same page are indented, a colon (:) in front of a paragraph does this. Welcome back. Diderot's dreams (talk) 18:32, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Cybercobra and I are having a discussion about what the article should say, and I have a question for you at the Earth Charter talk page. I hope you see the usefulness of talking things through when there is disagreement. While some of your additions are part of the article, many have been reversed because others don't agree with the them. This won't end by just reversing things again. Please add to Wikipedia by the process that we use here: following content and conduct policies and guidelines and when needed discussion and consensus building. Hope to hear your point of view on the talk page. Diderot's dreams (talk) 19:15, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
