Hey mitchellrc, thanks for your edit on the Nambija Mining Disaster site. I wanted to comment here, since it's more likely you read the comment here :) Actually, Mother's Day is pretty well known outside the US. Here in Germany people celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday in may, and, according to the German Wikipedia page about the Muttertag, this is a well established celebration in the Western world. So, while I agree that May 9 is much better than Mother' Day at the beginning of the article, you should still be aware of the fact that Mother's Day is known outside the US :) May 9 1993 was, btw, also the day Mother's Day was celebrated in Ecuador.
