I would preface this paragraph with a sentence that explains where this information comes from. Give the credentials of Curtis Acosta and explain that he wrote an article in a teaching journal outlining the MAS curriculum as implemented in his school during a certain time period. I would also add another sentence that explains that the curriculum includes classes both junior and senior year. Your explanation seems to cover just the junior year. Another key concept for the curriculum that might be worth adding is that this curriculum gives students an academic identity in a system from which they have often felt alienated. Good job! Consider adding an intro sentence to both sections. For the first one, an intro sentence would help to inform the reader of what the Chicano classes are exactly and their purpose. For the second section, possibly an intro sentence explaining the controversy including where, when, why(specifically), and who complained.
