More on WENK and WTPR
They seem to have the same format, although I don't know whether they simulcast. Maybe the solution would be both logos in the same infobox?Rudy2alan (talk) 13:57, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- Based on what I can see, it looks like they're a trimulcast. You're right, though - WTPR and WTPR-FM have an identity, and then WENK and the translator have a separate identity (although they share a tagline). Short-term, I'd agree that it'd make sense to put both logos in the infobox. Long-term, though, the stations have been around long enough that their histories could probably support separate articles if you wanted to break them out.
- Logisitically, if I were doing that, here's what I'd do:
- copy the existing content on the WENK article
- paste it on WTPR (AM) over top of the redirect, with an edit summary referencing the revision number of the existing version of WENK, and save it
- edit the resulting WTPR (AM) article to reposition it as an article about that station specifically, but keeping references to the trimulcast
- flesh out the WTPR (AM) article with whatever further history you can find
- lather, rinse, and repeat for WTPR-FM
- edit the WENK article to reposition it as well, with an edit summary referencing the split you've performed
- Easy peasy lemon-squeasy. Well, not really, but that's what I'd do, anyway... Mlaffs (talk) 15:45, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
Redirect sorting
@Raymie: and @Rudy2alan: I'm starting this discussion here, as I'm interested in feedback from both of you. Continuing to play with my missing radio station articles sub-page, further refining it to hopefully make it more useful for the people who are doing article creation. If you'd be so kind, please have a look at this edit and let me know whether or not you think it'd be at all helpful. I haven't linked everything in there yet (don't want to waste the time if it's not a worthwhile change), but that would be the intention if I were to take it live. I think it would be helpful.Rudy2alan (User talk:Rudy2alan)
Would you have time to look over/add to my latest draft? Thanks! user:Rudy2alan (talk)
- Tweaked a few things - added categories (commented out for now) and applied the new infobox structure (which has some cool added features). Little stuff like that. Mlaffs (talk) 21:40, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you! Rudy2alan (talk) 22:13, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

WP DAB
Hi! There's no need to create dab talk pages if all they're going to contain is the {{WP DAB}} banner. You can see the template documentation. There's no need to worry about any you have already created. – Uanfala (talk) 12:32, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for throwing up a flag! Can't believe that the approach on this changed more than four years ago, and not only did it slip past me (I was dramatically more active then than now and I have the project watchlisted) but nobody's beat me up about it before now.
