Mummification in Ancient Egypt

The process, including sarcophagi, remind me of some kind of jerky manufacturing and storage. It is as if the bodies were processed as some type of delicacy to be savored at a later date. The extremely heavy sarcophagi could be a way to ensure that the "delicacy" remained unmolested until retrieved at a later. This could actually be the reason why the "meat" was preserved and why the organs were removed. Mummies remind me of ancient candy bars awaiting consumption. Mo223Y (talk) 01:53, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
