While I think I have "worked" with you before, you need to realize that your constant claims that BBC doesn't support that lead are completely false. Nowhere in the BBC article is there anything close to "Some groups of devadasis have been known to become cults of prostitutes." No, the source is writes quite direct without any "culturally respectful" kind of whitewashing - "Devadasis are 'sanctified prostitutes'".
I don't understand why you are warring like this to whitewash the lead. We already discuss the "historical" devadasi in the article. I have simply made changes to reflect reality. We mention what it IS before we mention what it WAS. The Behnam 03:29, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- "Sensationalist tabloid"? BBC News? Right. I really don't care about your personal experiences with devadasis. Right now I have an RS saying what a devadasi is, and I am in the process of gathering more to supplement the lead. While I am in no way against placing information about the past status, generally articles about a current phenomenon state what it is before talking about its history. Of course I think this is pointless considering your claim that BBC isn't RS. I suppose that any other source isn't reliable to you unless it supports your whitewashing.
