What is the exact purpose of labelling someone using a derogatory term, such as "conspiracy theorist." What is the purpose of putting certain descriptions, such as "alternative views" in quotes? This seems odd to me, since it seems to suggest that they are either not actually views or alternative, which comes across as opinion rather than fact. Is Wikipedia supposed to be an encyclopedia of a certain political vantage point?
