Your use of multiple Wikipedia accounts

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account, which contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Writeindia, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and admit to it now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

When an article is tagged for possible deletion

[edit]

Hi. When an article is tagged for possible deletion per the deletion policy, the notice must remain on the article until the discussion process is complete and a final decision has been made either to delete the article or to keep it. Do not deface or remove a deletion tag simply because you disagree with the proposal and want the article to remain — this is considered vandalism and can result in your being blocked from editing. If you believe the article in question should be kept, go to the article's deletion discussion page and provide reasoned arguments why the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria (such as the notability guideline). Note that deletion discussions are not a simple majority vote for or against deletion; reasons are crucial, comments by multiple users saying the same thing do not get more weight, and merely saying "delete" or "keep" without giving any policy-based reasons are likely to be ignored. — Richwales (no relation to Jimbo) 00:22, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
