Complaint about Earl Silverman edits
[edit]The cited source bounces; does not exist at all
- I found it just fine, the link was in the article long before I got here. It's here[1]. Why did you remove the part where he admitted he beat his wife, but leave up the rest of the things he said to the Alberta Report, if the interview with the Alberta Report doesn't exist? And sign your comments if you're gonna write on my talk page, and make it clear what you're referring to. — Mr Keegz (talk) 04:04, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- I won't dwell or edit-fight you over the Earl Silverman page but if you choose to cite ("told") then at least extrapolate what's being said. Losing control and hitting back is in essence upkeeping a fight opened by another person. Ergo, either you trust the source and use it truthfully or don't use it at all - delete the segment, or find an alternate. You also conflated multiple users before and started editing this page after it got trending. -- Qreczek(talk) 22:01, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- This makes no sense. You just seem to be arguing why you think that he was justified in battering his wife. That's your point of view, but you don't get to assert that over wikipedia. Also, your writing is all but incoherent. Mr Keegz (talk) 23:10, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

- "One night my wife kneed me in the groin, hard and I lost control and hit her back" - A beating, not a prolonged fight in your opinion. Amazing. You are the one inserting your interpretation of this source, not me. Remove the subjective source and all it entails or follow it, if not I'll do it myself Qreczek (talk) 23:46, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- It's not a subjective source, it's literally an interview he gave. He describes himself having lost control and hit his wife, that he had battered her, that she had to go to a women's shelter, and he was suddenly a wife beater. You're trying to impose your ideas of what is and isn't battery on the editing of a factual article. If you try to delete the source where he admitted his whole activism started because his wife fled him after he beat her, not that he fled her, I'll just put it back, bro. You can't just delete inconvenient facts because somebody actually read the cited PDF. — Mr Keegz (talk) 00:29, 9 April 2021 (UTC)you are denigrating a good person
