I edited your photo caption because of its seemingly extravagant claim, which you have since added to the text: "The R1150R and R850R were BMW's most successful bikes with combined sales of almost 60,000 units since 2001." It is good that you are an "R" enthusiast, but is your claim true?

There is no indication of the factual source of this claim. It may be true, but what is the source? I would be surprised if it was, considering that the GS models have been BMW's best sellers for some time. In the U.S., at least, I believe it is possible that the "R" has been outsold by the RT, the LT, and the GS.

If you are correct, I would like to know you are. I suggest that you either add a citation of the source or delete the claim.

Removing images and "R" bikes

[edit]

Did I remove your photos from BMW motorcycles? If so, I have no recollection of it. Not saying that I did not do it, but that if I did I don't remember it. So ... IF I did, please accept my apology.

If the "R" bike was BMW's most popular, that would be surprising to me, but if you have a citation please put it back in the article with the reference cited.
