Speedy deletion of Orchkids

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Orchkids requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mayalld (talk) 14:02, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orchkids

[edit]

I have copied the content from the above page to User:Music25/Orchkids so you can continue working on it. This keeps it from being deleted from article space. However, the main article must still have an administrator review the situation. It will probably be best to contact an administrator regarding this page when you've finished working on it, to agree that there's nothing against it appearing in the main encyclopaedia.

One thing you must bear in mind, though, is that content that is block-copied (that is, whole paragraphs of text rather than paraphrases) is unlikely to be suitable for inclusion - regardless of whether permission is granted. This may be for a number of reasons, but most often comes down to conflicts of interest or bias. Booglamay (talk) - 16:38, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You may like to know that Woody, an admin on Wikipedia, has deleted the original page. I suggest that you discuss this further with them before making any major changes to the article. If your copyright claim is legitimate (and you can prove consent) then this admin should be more than willing to help you. Booglamay (talk) - 17:16, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
