Speedy deletion nomination of Future Ads
[edit]A tag has been placed on Future Ads, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome
[edit]Hello, Mwebbcom, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I notice that one of the first articles you have edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been reverted for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of deletion, you might like to draft your article before submission, then get me or any other editor to proofread it. To start creating a draft article, just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit that page as you would any other. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that if more than one person is using this account to edit, then unfortunately it will be blocked from editing.

Future Ads
[edit]It looks like the promotion has been toned down a bit from earlier. I would not speedy delete it, but it would be best to ask User talk:MuZemike or User talk:Chuckiesdad as these two were involved in the earlier speedy deletion. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 07:16, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
- I think it's a good job of revision, Mwebbcom. I just now cleaned up the 'Awards' section a bit, added an Infobox, and made a few formatting tweaks, but it looks ready to go. You can unhide the 'Categories' at the bottom once it's posted by removing the arrows before and after (<!-- and --> ). Regards, Chuckiesdad/Talk/Contribs 03:22, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Dear Chuckiesdad, Thank you so much for your comments, and for your help with cleaning up the article. It looks great! Now, just as a point of protocal, or even etiquette, should I pass it by User MuZemike because he was originally involved in the speedy deletion notice as well? I'd love to get your thoughts. Also, when I go to post this article, what are the odds of it getting another speedy deletion warning? Is there a way to show that it has gone through review with you (an editor), as well as the other editor who assisted me? Thanks in advance with all these questions. Cheers! 68.4.4.203 (talk) 05:03, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- Articles stand on their own, and each editor makes independent decisions, hopefully based on community guidelines. There's no hierarchy, but rather consensus. If the community thinks an article is notable, it will stay, regardless of an individual editor's opinion, including mine or yours. Wouldn't hurt to re-engage MuZemike since that editor had an opinion earlier. So post it and see. Thanks for your contributions, Chuckiesdad/Talk/Contribs 13:17, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
- What can I do now?
You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
on your user talk page. - Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
- Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
