Fixed Paddy Casey table for you

The main problem was the "rowspan" settings. I'm guessing that either "rowspan" doesn't do quite what you think it does, or else you copied and pasted from another table and just didn't know enough about what to do with it.

For future reference, rowspan is for when a cell in a table needs to cover two rows of content, such as:

cell with rowspan=2 next cell
first cell of next row

That's why it was throwing the next row over to the right.

I have taken the liberty of making some other changes at the same time:

  • Removed quotes around song titles - they are useless and annoying
  • Removed italic formatting from album titles - unnecessary, but not so annoying, put them back if you want
  • Removed width=xxx - it's preferable to let browsers decide for themselves how wide a column needs to be, as it knows what size the reader's monitor is
  • changed {{prettytable}} to {{subst:prettytable}} - this copies the template rather then having the servers look it up each time. You should always do this when you use {{prettytable}}, as it reduces load on the servers and improves the reader's response time.

Hope this helps. --LesleyW 04:17, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

No problemo! It was a good learning opportunity for me. I'll be happy to help if you have any more table troubles. --LesleyW 00:01, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Newspaper interview with Jimbo

Hi, I noticed your comment on Jimbo's userpage. If you look at User:Jimbo Wales, you'll see this: "Press Inquiries: Please leave a message with my assistant Danny in the USA at +1 727 231 0101, and I will get back to you. Please use that number for press inquiries only! I am not joking about this. Other inquiries to that phone number will be ignored." Perhaps you should give that a shot.
