Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Nafise78. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Nafiseh Kohnavard, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See WP:PAID. Thank you. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 16:54, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

September 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm HickoryOughtShirt?4. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Nafiseh Kohnavard have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:22, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Nafiseh Kohnavard. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:39, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop spamming links to your work. This is not what Wikipedia or an article is meant for. This is promotional, disruptive, and can lead to a block for WP:NOTHERE behaviour. If you want to make constructive edits to Wikipedia, please follow the links I posted above. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:40, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
 Hey it is not promotion! it is simply adding source of work!!!!

WE are just trying add references.Please do let us know what in BBC report links are inappropriate ?? Stop removing links that are reference to journalistic work of the person in the page

Who is we? Accounts are only supposed to be used by one person. And it is promotional to spam links to your work. That is for a personal website, not Wikipedia. Please read our guidelines. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:49, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Still is being used by one person but I am trying to improve it with references as it's been asked on the page. All the links are BBC reports of the journalist. There is nothing promotional!!

You still haven't read the link I sent you huh? You are spamming articles that do not add information to the article. This is just to show your work. Again, save this for a personal website. You need to a) Read over the COI guidelines I have linked above. B) Read over WP:EL. C) Promise to abide by all our policies or risk being blocked.
