Forum[edit]

I hope you will understand that I have removed your addition to Talk:Pneumothorax. Firstly, you were discussing your own health rather than making any suggestions as to the improvement of the article. Secondly, you were sharing personal information that you really might not wish to be available in the public domain. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Actually, I had posted in response to the direct question of the OP. If the OP had questions, clearly the article is missing that information, and my post contained information that could be used to answer that and possibly other questions which I did not see in the article. As for personal information, there was nothing specific enough to single me out personally, the details were generalised, but provided as much detail as would be needed to determine factors such as stress levels, body type, age range, climate and various other factors that are known or suspected causes for an unexplainable health issue. If it was truly personally identifyable material, I would not have posted it. I had also included details of what I would consider (in retrospect of my incident) to be warning signs that one is at risk, and what I have done when presented with such a possible warning sign. I have no desire to edit the article, I merely presented factual information that someone could use to do so if that is warranted. For this reason, it was put onto a talk page, and frankly, you have no business deleting it without specifically citing the sections it violates, and without consultation nor approval. I am sorry you are unhappy that I refactored your post. The article pneumothorax contains all aspects that you mentioned (sex, height, weather conditions). When we discuss improvements to articles, it is much preferable to base this judgement on reliable sources, rather than someone's personal experience.

Please assume good faith. The whole reason I left the above message was to avoid "biting the newcomers", so I am indeed sorry that you feel that this has still been the case. Happy editing! JFW | T@lk 22:02, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assume good faith? To outright delete content mere seconds after posted without so much as discussion or guidance towards correction of misplacement and/or editing indicates no such good faith whatsoever. I apologize for having vandalized "your wikipedia" and wish you all the best as I take my leave. Nij Iskode (talk) 23:40, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
