[edit]

You uploaded Image:Punks.jpg without providing an image copyright tag. Do you have legal rights to use the image? If so, great, just use the right tag to indicate the basis for that. If not, sorry, we can't use it illegally. -- Jmabel | Talk 06:40, 18 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Same issue on the other photos you uploaded. -- Jmabel | Talk 06:48, 18 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Daviddukeblman450x543.jpg, Image:ForwardArea2002again.jpg, Image:Null 174675a.jpg, Image:Punks.jpg, Image:Dukeheadbright.jpg, Image:Duke01.jpg, Image:Fowardarea88.jpg, Image:Fa88.jpg, and Image:White power.jpg.I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Viriditas | Talk 01:52, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary

[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. --Viriditas | Talk 03:03, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I hate being the bearer of bad news, but Forward Area has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this band isn't yet notable enough for an article. Please review WP:BAND for the relevant concerns. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the prod template, the article may be deleted without further discussion. NickelShoe 22:37, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
