A couple of quick notes and questions

[edit]

Hi No means,

I noticed from your contributions that you seem particularly interested in articles related to American politics. While I don't see any glaring problems with your edits so far, I just want to make sure that you're familiar with Wikipedia's policy on neutral point of view before you wade into the muck, so to speak. While many users make their political points of view known, I might also suggest refactoring the caption on your userpage--Wikipedia is not a soapbox, and overly polemical statements can have the effect of discouraging collaboration. You might want to take a time going through the gallery of politics-related userboxes to get an idea of the kind of content that is generally considered acceptable.

Finally, I wanted to ask about your username. It seems a little bit political in nature as well, which means that it might serve to hinder you in the inevitable long, heated discussions you will face when editing articles related to politics. While I don't believe it is blatantly polemical, you might want to consider changing your username or at least putting a note here or on your userpage explaining why you chose it.

Thanks, and please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions! --jonny-mt 02:39, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
