Speedy deletion nomination of N Davey

[edit]

Hello Noddydoguk,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged N Davey for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Katrinamoris2014 (talk) 15:48, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "N Davey"

[edit]

A page you created, N Davey, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Orphan Wiki 15:49, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Lists

[edit]

It's the other way round, actually. The listing in a Wikipedia list comes after the article. They aren't lists of each and every one - they are lists of articles. A sort of index, really. Wikipedia isn't a directory, and we don't have articles about everyone, and we can't have everyone in a list. Please see WP:BIO about biographies, and WP:RS about the reliable independent sources needed to prove the notability. I'd also advise reading WP:AUTOBIO as writing about yourself is strongly not advised. Also, never never say 'for more please go to...'. That's advertising, and not allowed here.
