MSU and "public ivy"

[edit]

It has been described as a "Public Ivy" by, evidently, one source - not even the original one. To say that it "is considered" or "is recognized" (both also passive voice) a public ivy is too broad a statement given the singular sourcing. This is particularly so in the lead. I used the passive voice because the active voice (e.g. "one source" or "one guidebook") makes it sound insignificant. It arguably is, in fact, but when stated passively it at least sounds a bit better. If you don't like the particular wording, please feel free to improve on it, but don't push the language beyond what the source really establishes. Thanks. While you are fine tuning your edits, you need to participate in the discussion on the MSU Talk page. Your sources are thin, and now another editor has expressed concern about the undue weight of the lead as it stands. JohnInDC (talk) 21:55, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

While you are reviewing the policies on assuming good faith and no personal attacks, you should also look into the subject of "edit warring", set forth at WP:3RR. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 23:10, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, fair enough, but I am on to your game and will do everything I can do to expose you. In the meantime, I will monitor your talk pages and will also investigate other usernames you use. In fact, I have already documented every single edit you have made to reduce MSU's introduction. Looking forward to gathering enough evidence to write an op-ed about you and other Wikipedia users alike in the near future. Good luck, pal.Nycspartan (talk) 23:23, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Please. I am sorry that you are unhappy about my edits, and comments, but you are getting off on the wrong foot by claiming I have an agenda, or a bias, which you intend to "expose". Those kinds of comments work against you, really they do, and will not make it any easier for you to get your point of view across - not to me but to just about any experienced editor. You have an obvious interest in MSU, and in seeing it portrayed in a positive light, but it's important that the encyclopedia be written without opinion or bias or puffery and a neutral tone is all that I'm trying to ensure. Please, take a step back and be willing to discuss these things. You are new here and threaten to derail your Wikipedia career before it even has started. Thanks.
